What is FX?

FX is an incredible, not to be missed event that parents and their kids experience together!Designed especially for families with kindergarten through 5th grade children, FX is a place where Biblical truths are communicated in a highly creative, experiential family theater, using music, video, creative teaching, a clubhouse full of characters, and anything else we can think of to engage our audience. As a reinforcement and enhancement of what kids have learned in Kids Rock, FX gives parents and their kids an opportunity to learn together and talk about what they have experienced throughout the week.

Where FX Fits in our Overall Children’s Ministry Plan

FX is part of our three-fold strategy to give parents, as the primary influencers of their children the tools they need to create spiritual conversations in their homes. We will never spend as much time with your children as you do! As parents, you have the greatest opportunity for impacting your children’s lives with God’s love and how to begin to walk with Him. We want to partner with you in three main ways:

Part 1 is Kids Rock

This weekly ministry, held during the weekend services, is where kids, Kindergarten through 5th grade, spend time in small and large group gatherings focusing on a biblical application of the monthly Biblical virtue. Every child who attends Kids Rock receives great take home resources that will help them connect to the Biblical application throughout the week. (Refrigerator Door cards and God Time cards)

Part 2 is FX (Family Theatre)

This is a weekly meeting between services on Saturday night, where parents and kids come together for a shared experience. For the kids, it’s a chance to see the Biblical application played out in a hilarious, relevant situation, and an enhancement of the Bible truth heard in Kids Rock. For parents, it’s a chance to learn themselves what their kids have studied in Kids Rock, and to use their shared experience for discussion and application of the virtue at home.

Part 3 is the Family Time Virtue Pack

This is available at the FX Family Theatre event. It takes everything we’ve talked about on the weekend and gives parents resources to use with their kids at meal times, at bedtime, during the day, and even time in the car. These are easy and fun to use. It is an important key in integrating these virtues in everyday life.
