Do you have a son or daughter who recently graduated from Kids Rock, June 7th or 8th to be specific? You may be wondering: “what’s next?” We are doing something new and exciting this year for the incoming 6th graders. On June 15th we started a new program called “Studio 6”. “Studio 6” will be a time for 6th graders to connect with their peers and with adult leaders. Our time together will be a mix of games, a short talk, and small group time. Studio 6 will meet weekly during the 11 o’clock service on Sunday until August 24th. Our goal with “Studio 6” is to allow a gradual transition from Kids Rock to our middle school ministry.
Please mark on your calendars Tuesday, August 26th, 6:30-8pm. At that time the Middle School Ministry will be hosting a “Welcome Party” for incoming 6th graders and their parents. We hope this will kick off their regular participation in the Edge, our weekly meeting on Tuesday nights.
