For most people in Haiti, life is a day to day existence. Where the vast majority of adults lack work, and men, women, and children comb the garbage dumps for even a morsel of food to ease the gnawing emptiness in their stomachs, how can one think ahead to the future?
But for many in Haiti’s Arbonite Valley, Cornwall is providing hope. Maranatha Orphanage, School, and Church are located in the village of Terre Noir, just east of the city of St. Marc. Here, through the generosity of countless sponsors and donors, over 40 orphans receive food, clean water, clothing, basic medical care, and a Christian education. Additionally, hundreds of children are given lunch 5 days/week, as well as the opportunity to attend school.
