Hope Drive

As we have experienced hope through Jesus, our desire is to share and give hope to others by encouraging them during this time. Join us as we encourage the staff at Lighthouse Mission, staff Engedi, Frontline workers at Skagit Regional Hospital & Skagit Valley Firefighters/EMT’s as they invest in so many lives right now by writing encouraging letters, thank you cards and providing gift cards.

This is an opportunity to be the church. We are called by God to be the light of the world in a time of darkness, offering the hope we’ve graciously been given through Jesus. Now is our chance to respond in love. To hope it forward. To Go in Love and Be a Light.

How it works:

  1. Grab a card, postcard or piece of paper for the letter.
  2. Write your letter or letters of encouragement and thanks. There’s no limit to how many you can do!
  3. Take a video or picture of your letter encouraging others to join and share on social media using #Hopedrive2020 #GoinloveBealight
  4. Optional: Purchase a gift card (coffee card) $15 or less.
  5. Send your letters or bring them to Cornwall Church Bellingham Campus or Skagit Campus.

Letter writing tips:

  • Share a personal thank you or gratitude for their work like “Thank you for all that you do during this time” or “We are so grateful for your service and hard work”.
  • Include an encouraging scripture or quote.

The Lighthouse Staff

    • For case managers: Thank you for talking and helping people find resources.
  • Share an encouraging scripture or quote
  • Have your kids draw a picture and a simple “Thank you!”
  • Write a prayer for the staff/volunteers
    • That the Lord would fill the volunteers with love
    • That the Lord gives them energy and strength
    • That the Lord protects them from sickness
